Guruvayoor Devaswom Pavilion opened in Thrissur Pooram Exhibition.

Thrissur: The Guruvayoor Devaswom Pavilion at the Thrissur Pooram Exhibition opened for devotees. Devaswom Chairman Dr. VK Vijayan inaugurated the event. Devaswom Governing Body Members Mallissery Parameswaran Namboothiri, C Manoj, KP Viswanathan, Thrissur Pooram Exhibition Organizing Committee President A Ramakrishnan, Vice President Chandrasekharan, Secretary Vipinan, Joe Secretary M Ramesan, Treasurer Anil Kumar, Devaswom DA Maraya, T Radhika, M Radha, Chumchitra Study Center Principal KU Krishnakumar, Chief Instructor Nalin Babu, Publication Asst Manager KG Suresh Kumar, PRO Vimal G Nath and employees were present on the occasion.

The construction of the pavilion is modeled on the Guruvayur Temple Nalampala lighthouse. More than 40 sculptures open the eyes to the beauty of the view. Mural paintings, bronze sculptures, rare palm-leaf texts and Devaswom publications await visitors. The sculptures are from the time when the temple was destroyed by fire. An exhibition of rare palm leaf books has also been arranged. There are also curiosities in the Devaswom Museum. Masks from Krishnanath are also on display. Rare paintings by famous painters such as artist Namboothiri, C N Karunakaran, Madanan and Nandan Pillai are also on display.
