Guruvayoor: Guruvayoor Municipality Chairman M Krishnadas inaugurated the first inaugural meeting of “Guruvayoor Kshetra Pradesika Samiti” (GKPS), an organization of local people who are dedicated to the prosperity and development of Guruvayoor temple.
Till date the activities of the organization used to provide necessary services to the devotees on the special days of the temple as per the decision of the temple managing committee.
Around 300 members attended the grand “Aadarav 2024” on Sunday, April 7 at 3:30 pm at Rugmini Regency, Guruvayur, presided over by Samiti President O Rajagopalan.
Guruvayoor Devaswom Chairman Dr VK Vijayan, Governing Body KP. Viswanathan, Mammyur Devaswom Chairman GK Prakashan, Dr Parvathy Padmanabhan, a resident of the area who is doing commendable service in the field of Athura Sevanam, Radhakrishnan Kakassery, a famous poet and orator were honored.
Master Radhakrishnan Kakassery delivered the keynote address. Leader of Opposition in Municipal Corporation KP Udayan, Ward Councilor Shobha Harinarayanan, Patrons K Gopalan, PS. Premanandan, GK Prakasan, N Prabhakaran Nair, office-bearers Bindu Narayanan, Girish Paliath, K Muralidharan, Sadanandan Thamarassery, TN Murali, OK Narayanan Nair and P Muralidhara Kaimal gave their greetings.
