Guruvayoor: On the first day of Karkatakam tomorrow morning, there will be a spiritual Ramayana recital at Sri Guruvayoorappan Auditorium. Dr. V. Achuthan will perform the Kutti Parayanam. Then there will be recitation till Karkatakam 32.
Ramayana month spiritual lectures will start from 7 pm tomorrow evening in Melputhur Auditorium.
Former minister and writer Mullakara Ratnakaran will deliver the lecture on the first day. Every day at the same time there will be spiritual lectures by various scholars. There will be ‘Ramayana Parayana Competition’ and Quiz Competition for school and college students under the leadership of Devaswom Religious Library.
Along with this, Ramayana Parayanam is conducted every day at Devaswom Keezhedam temples like Poonthanam Maha Vishnu Temple, Nenmini Balarama Temple and Vermanur Shiva Temple. Also Karkatakam 1 to 12 are also performed at the Kaveed Kartyayani temple with Murajapam special Pushpanjali.
The Devaswom has also decided to prepare elaborate facilities for performing Balitarpanam for Karkataka Vav’s ancestors at Nenmini Balarama temple.
