Guruvayur: Union Tourism and Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat visited the Guruvayur temple. At around 8:10 am on monday, the minister arrived at Srivalsam guest house along with his wife Naunanth Kanwar and staff members and was received by temple deputy administrator Pramod Kalarikal and guest house assistant manager KK Subhash.
Next was the temple visit. The minister and his team had prepared a ghee lamp offering at the shrine for darshan. Union Minister prayed to Shri Guruvayurappan. Then the Union Minister offered thulabharam.
The thulabharan for the minister was done with butter, rice and jaggery. The central minister’s wife’s thulabharam was done with rice and kadalipazham. Others who came with the minister also offered thulabharam themselves with kadalipazham.
A total of Rs 72850 was paid to the temple. After the Thulabharam offering, the procession was performed and the sub-deities Bhagavathy and Ayyappan were worshiped and they returned. Temple DA Pramod Kalarikal gave Sri Guruvayurappa’s prasads consisting of Kalabha, Tirumudi Mala, fruit and sugar to the Union Minister.
