Guruvayur: A huge flow of devotees came to Guruvayur on Monday to see Kannan. Even though the mid-summer vacation was over, the temple was crowded with devotees during these days as Saturday, Sunday and holidays followed by Eid holiday on Monday. Similarly, the income was Rs 55,08,333 lakh, Rs 78,71,807 lakh and Rs 96,99,253 lakh on Saturday, Sunday and Monday respectively, but it can be said that Monday’s is a record income.

There was an unusual rush on Sunday night and from Monday afternoon onwards, similar to the previous Vishukani darshan. The queue for darshan filled up the south pavement and reached after Ayyappan Nair Mart via Maharaja Complex. Security personnel struggled to control the crowd. Inside Chief Security Officer Mohan Kumar, Additional Chief Security Officer Jagadish and outside Kodimara temple DA Pramod Kumar Kalarikal directly controlled the rush. Devaswom Chairman Dr V KVijayan and Administrator KP Vinayan visited from time to time and assessed the situation and gave instructions to the officials.
On Sunday night at 9.40 pm and on Monday afternoon at 2.15 pm, the last person in the line was let through. On busy days, darshan was allowed directly through the flagpole, avoiding the flyover. At this time the devotees could not perform Pradakshina, Shayana Pradakshina and Pada Pradakshina. But these days, on an experimental basis, General Q is released through the flyover, and this line and Chorun and Naivilak lines are let in in turn, and while doing so, a line of people who reach the two lines are let in around the sacrificial stone. It helped people to enter the nalampalam quickly with ease and without any hassle, eliminating the rush and congestion in exactly two lines. This system is an eye opener for devotees
