Guruvayur: This year’s Onam Pookalam is being implemented in the People’s Planning 2024-25 annual plan with the Guruvayur Municipality. The ward-level inauguration of Chendumalli Krishi was conducted by Alamkrita Naachukuta in the 6th Ward of the Municipality.
Ward Councilor Ajitha Ajith presided over, Thaikkad Agriculture Officer Rajitha VC, Welcome and Ayyankali Urban Employment Scheme Assistant Engineer Abhi and members of the Neighbor Group gave their greetings.
Flower farming is one of the projects started by the Municipality last year to prepare an indispensable flower bed during Onam, when the nostalgic memories of the Malayalees bloom. Based on the successful experience of last year, the project is being implemented enthusiastically this year as well. It is expected that the market potential of Guruvayur and its surrounding area will be enriched for the farmers.
Flower farming is being successfully carried out by Ayyangali Nagar Employment Workers, Kudumbashree Neighbor Group, Formers Groups, etc.
