Vaishakh holy month concludes in Guruvayur with unprecedented rush of devotees

Guruvayur: The holy month of Vaisakh has come to an end with an unprecedented rush of devotees at the Guruvayur temple. With the beginning of the summer vacation and the beginning of the month of Vaisakh, there has been an unprecedented influx of devotees to the temple.

The most special month for Lord Vishnu is “Vaisakhamasam.” It is also known as “Madhava month” because it is dear to Madhava. The Guruvayur Devaswom Management Committee had decided to restrict special darshan at the temple in view of the unprecedented rush of devotees during the month of Vaisakh. This decision was taken to speed up the darshan of all the devotees who come to the temple. Special darshans were currently restricted from 6 am to 2 pm on public holidays and this restriction began on Saturday, May 18 and continued till June 6, ending the month of Vaishakh. Therefore, the devotees who came to the temple could stand in line and have a pleasant view. The darshan arrangements implemented on public holidays received huge support and cooperation from the devotees. At the same time, the darshan soukas for those who make ghee lamp offerings in the shrine were also very grand on the said days.
