Kasaragod: The national highway will be closed from 9:00 p.m on monday. the next morning for concreting of the span of the flyover which is part of the national highway. A 150 meter stretch between Nullipaadi Ayyappa Bhajana Mandir and Kasaragod New Bus Stand will be closed. As the dispute over the demolition of the Mundol Arcade near the new bus stand is in court, there is a limit to the installation of machines here. The Uralungal Labor Contract Cooperative Society (ULCCS), which is carrying out the construction, informed that the road is being closed because the machinery for concrete needs to be installed on the service road.
Traffic control
Vehicles coming from Mangaluru side will take a U-turn from New Bus Stand Junction and take M.G. By road, take the Kanhangad-Kasarkod state highway. Vehicles coming from Cherkala side will be diverted via Vidyanagar-Chowki-Uliathatukka and Madhur Road, police said.
