Guruvayur: On the day of Akshaya Tritiya, the Guruvayur temple witnessed a huge rush of devotees. The temple was also crowded on Thursday, May 9, the beginning of the month of Vaisakha. 472,500 rupees from special darshan without queuing and 15,19,040 rupees from Thulabharam. and 535 children had chorunu. 5,29,639 rupees of Palpayasam was been booked. 74 marriages also took place on Akshaya Tritiya day. Total income was Rs 80,41,401.86. gold lockets worth Rs 28,13,300 and silver lockets worth Rs 1,65,500 were sold.
